The Dog It Was That Died

During the third week of May six Talbot students , in conjunction with students from Becton School, Sheffield,  were privileged to attend a week long drama workshop at the Lyceum Theatre. Working with 2 professional actors they devised a performance based on the National Theatre's award winning production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, which we had watched the previous week. The students were riveted by the play, which included a backstage tour, and they were particularly fascinated by what they  perceived  as the stars of the show, a real, stuffed, dead dog and a live Labrador puppy!

Ryan , Ryan, Sarah, Eryn, Abbie and Jessica performed their piece not only to their very proud parents and peers but  to the director and  members of the cast of Curious, two of whom were in tears, describing the performance as 'profoundly moving'.

We are indebted to the national Theatre and Sheffield Theatres for giving our students such an enriching experience.
